PeMS
PeMS is short for the Caltrans Performance Measurement System which is the most extensively used data source for traffic flow prediction. Over 15,000 individual detector stations collect traffic data every 30s across the state-wide freeways in California.
Access to PeMS Data
Step 1: Apply for an account on http://pems.dot.ca.gov/
Step 2: Select “Data Clearninghouse” in the Tools section
Step 3: Use a few parameters to locate the available datasets

- Type: Station 5-Minute
- District: District 7
- Month/Year: click the grey rectangle for J/20]
